01Greener by design

Sustainability is part of everything we do

As a sustainable packaging company, Golden West reduces material usage through thoughtful design and uses responsibly sourced raw materials. We are also one of the largest paper recyclers in the West — closing the loop on our 360° commitment to sustainable manufacturing.

02Recycling

One of the largest paper recyclers in the West

Each ton of recycled paper saves about 17 trees, 4,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity, 380 gallons of oil, 4,000 gallons of water, and 3 cubic yards of landfill space (source: MIT recycling facts). Multiplied across the 191,594 tons we have recycled since 2019, that is an estimate of:

04Compliance

Doing right, by law and by choice

Board grade, flute and caliper are the other half of this: a caliper downgrade or a board-test reduction takes material out of every case you ship. Ask for it on the quote request.

Take material out of the pack, not performance.

Send the current pack and its failure rate. We will come back with a structure, a board grade and the numbers behind both — within one business day.
